Injuries Can Be A Pain.

Here's what you can do:

  • Apply an ice pack for approximately 10 minutes per hour.  Do not use heat.

  • Stay relatively active.  Avoid prolonged sitting or bed rest.

  • Don't delay treatment.  The sooner you start, the sooner you'll get relief.

Common causes of lower back pain:

  • Improper lifting

  • Auto, work-related or sports injuries

  • Poor posture

  • Stress

  • Lack of exercise

  • Disc problems

  • Irritated nerves

  • Prolonged sitting

Just  an ounce of prevention:

  • Lift with your legs, not with your back

  • Exercise: strength, flexibility, stretching

  • Ensure a proper workstation

  • Take breaks

  • Proper sleeping position-on your back or side
